ESPN 3D now on AT&T U-Verse
ESPN launched its new 3D channel today, airing the first game of the FIFA World Cup. DirecTV had already announced its plans to provide the new network, and now AT&T is including it in its U-Verse TV "3-D Package".
In addition to airing the quadrennial World Cup - which airs June 11 through July 11 - ESPN 3D intends to broadcast more upcoming special sports events including the MLB Home Run Derby, the summer and winter X-Games, NCAA basketball and football as well as the BCS championship game.
Research predicts that the 4.2 million 3D-capable TVs sold so far this year will grow to 78 million by 2015. To get yours now, talk to a Ken Cranes sales associate at any location about what you'll need and find out how to get the best system for your money.
