What do you need for High Def TV?

For high definition TV you need a high definition receiver – cable or satellite – or a proper HD Antenna for off air viewing and a proper cable to fully utilize the TV.  While you can view HD, you will not get the full effect without a home theater system that completes the picture. HD-TV delivers 1/3 or 5/7 gigabytes of information per second, which needs to get from the player to the screen in order to maximize the system’s performance.  Typically the cables that come with a DVD player do not optimize the full potential of its performance, while upgraded cables can make a huge difference in your systems performance.
